Will you damage my lawn during the work?
No. Yards in Greater Portland cost real money to maintain and we know it. Max invested in ground protection mats and equipment that doesn’t tear up grass while we work. Trees come down, yards stay intact.
Do you clean up after the job?
Yes, all the way. Raking, blowing, hauling, the property leaves better than we showed up. That’s where most of our repeat work comes from.
Do you haul away the wood and brush, or do I keep it?
Your call. Most clients want it gone and we haul everything. If you want firewood or chips left for use, just tell us up front. We’ll cut it to length or pile it where you want.

Will I be working with the owner, or do you send a subcontractor?
You’re working with Max. He owns MB Tree Service, runs the crew, and is on every job site. No subcontractors, no rotating faces. What happens on your property is a reflection of him, that’s why he picks every crew member personally.

Yes MB Tree Service is licensed and insured. Ask anytime and we’ll send you proof of both.
How long have you been in business?
MB Tree Service finished its fifth year in fall 2025. Before that, Max spent seven and a half years as a contract climber across Greater Portland. Combined crew experience is over 15 years ; climbers, lift operators, and ground guys.

When should a tree be removed vs trimmed?
Remove if it’s dead, diseased, structurally compromised, or threatening something it shouldn’t (a house, power lines, a driveway). Trim if it’s healthy but overgrown, shading what shouldn’t be shaded, or you want it shaped. Not sure? We’ll come look. That’s what the free estimate is for.
Do you do landscaping or plant new trees?
No. We specialize strictly in tree removal, trimming, ornamental pruning, lot clearing, stump removal, and forestry mulching. If you need new trees planted or landscape work, we’re happy to recommend a local nursery or landscaper who does that well.
